FAQ
Custom work is our specialty. Our studio started with custom pieces. We find that
creating meaningful custom work has the potential to be infinitely rewarding for the
craftsman and the client. Our ultimate joy is to connect the client to craft. Custom pieces
are evaluated and developed on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in
collaborating with us on a custom project please reach out to us on our Contact Page.
Our Belize workshop has access to the finest tropical hardwoods through FSC Certified sources. We also use already felled trees that have become available over time. All of these trees were felled many years ago. Currently we have superb lumber with beautiful figure including Bocote, Bullet Tree, Cypress, Granadillo, Jobillo, Machiche, Mahogany,Nargusta, Poison Wood, Rosewood, Sapodilla, Teak, and Zericote.
We love working with members of the trade to bring our work to as many people as
possible. If you are a designer, architect or decorator who would like to inquire about our trade program please send an email to liam.ohanlon@nowwoodorks.com to inquire about our trade program. Someone from our team will reach out in 24-48 hours with more information.
Material samples can be purchased and ordered through our website. If samples remain in good condition they can be returned for a refund when you are finished with them.
Our pieces are guaranteed for one year against mechanical defects or technical failures. If an issue should arise please contact us and we will repair or replace the defective component or item. We cannot be held responsible for the following: changes of patina developing on leather or metal surfaces, damage caused by improper care or cleaning products, damage caused by exposure to weather or improper environmental conditions, damage caused by improper assembly or installation, damage caused by everyday ‘wear-and-tear’ including but not limited to dents, scratches, or stains.
Please see the ‘Care’ section of our materials page here for information on how to care for your piece.
Our made-to-order pieces are hand built one at a time just for you. Because of the
process we employ to create these products we do not accept returns. Returns for our ready-to-ship pieces will be evaluated on a case by case basis and must be sent back to our facility in new and undamaged condition.
